‍PROGRAMME

Our Programs

At Ambassadors for Change, we believe that lasting change begins when people are equipped with the knowledge, skills, opportunities, and resources to create better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. Our programs are designed to address the barriers that keep vulnerable individuals from reaching their potential while creating pathways toward education, economic independence, healthier families, and stronger communities.

‍

3. Technical Vocational Education & Apprenticeship

We provide practical, market-relevant skills that enable young people and vulnerable adults to move from unemployment and dependency toward productive livelihoods. Training opportunities may include tailoring, catering, cosmetology, and other trades aligned with local economic opportunities.

Where possible, participants are connected to apprenticeship opportunities and practical work experience, allowing them to strengthen their skills while gaining exposure to the world of work.

Our goal: To turn skills into opportunities, and opportunities into sustainable livelihoods.

4. Enhanced Parenting & Reproductive Health Education

Strong families are essential to healthy communities. We support parents, caregivers, adolescents, and young people with knowledge and practical tools that promote responsible parenting, healthy relationships, child wellbeing, and informed reproductive health decisions.

Our approach encourages open communication, positive parenting, responsible decision-making, and greater awareness of issues affecting adolescents and families—including teenage pregnancy and other risks that can interrupt education and future opportunities.

Our goal: To strengthen families, protect children, and empower young people to make informed and responsible decisions about their health and future.

5. Business Start-Up Kits & Mini-Grants for Entrepreneurship and Empowerment

Skills alone are not always enough. Many aspiring entrepreneurs have the determination and ability to succeed but lack the basic resources needed to start or expand a small business.

Through carefully targeted start-up kits and mini-grants, we help eligible participants turn skills and ideas into income-generating opportunities. Support is complemented by guidance on responsible use of resources, business planning, and sustainability.

Our goal: To help vulnerable individuals move from dependence to economic participation, income generation, and greater self-reliance.

6. Public Awareness

Prevention begins with awareness. We engage communities through outreach, dialogue, education, and public awareness activities addressing issues that can significantly affect the wellbeing and future of children and young people.

Our priority areas include teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, and school dropout. We work with adolescents, parents, caregivers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to encourage informed choices, early intervention, community responsibility, and positive social norms.

Our goal: To strengthen and informed communities that are better equipped to prevent harmful practices, protect young people, and support positive life choices.

7. Business Skills Training

We help aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs develop the practical knowledge required to start, manage, and grow sustainable small businesses. Training covers areas such as business planning, financial literacy, budgeting, record keeping, customer service, marketing, pricing, savings, and responsible business management.

By combining entrepreneurship education with practical skills and, where appropriate, access to start-up support, we help participants build businesses that can generate income, create employment, and contribute to local economic development.

Our goal: To transform entrepreneurial potential into sustainable businesses and economic opportunity.

Our Approach

Across all our programs, we focus on one fundamental principle: people should not simply receive assistance—they should be equipped to create change.

We invest in knowledge, skills, confidence, opportunity, and practical resources so that individuals can become more economically independent, families can become stronger, and communities can become more resilient.

OURS GOALS

1. Life Skills Education

To equip adolescents, young people, and vulnerable adults with practical life skills that enable them to make informed decisions and navigate life's challenges with confidence. Our sessions focus on self-esteem, goal setting, decision-making, communication, healthy relationships, problem-solving, financial awareness, leadership, and personal responsibility.

To help individuals develop the mindset, confidence, and practical skills needed to make positive choices and build purposeful lives.

2. Back-to-School Enrollment

Education is one of the most powerful pathways out of poverty. Our Back-to-School initiative supports vulnerable children and adolescents who are out of school or at risk of dropping out by helping them reconnect with education and pursue their academic potential.

Through community mobilization, family engagement, enrollment support, and linkages to available educational opportunities, we work to remove barriers that prevent children from attending and remaining in school.

To increase access to education and give vulnerable children and adolescents a stronger opportunity to build a brighter future.

To raise awareness among youth about the dangers of drugs and substance abuse, to prevent drug use through education, life-skills training, and positive peer engagement to Support recovery by connecting affected youth with counseling and appropriate services.

The Joy of Renewed Hope: Mosphine Williams’ Journey Back to School

Sometimes, all it takes to change a life is someone who refuses to let hope die.

For Mosphine Williams, the dream of completing her education came dangerously close to becoming a distant memory.

When Mosphine was promoted to the 11th grade, she was just one step closer to achieving her academic dreams. However, the financial challenges her single mother faced became overwhelming, making it impossible to meet the costs of keeping her in school. Despite her mother's unwavering commitment and years of sacrifice to provide for her daughter's education, circumstances eventually became too difficult to overcome.

As a result, Mosphine spent an entire academic year out of school.

For a young girl with dreams for her future, this was more than a break in her education. It was a painful interruption of the possibilities she had worked so hard to pursue. Yet, Mosphine did not give up on her dreams.

Her determination to return to school remained strong, and at Ambassadors for Change, we believe that financial hardship should not be the reason a young person loses the opportunity to build a better future.

That is why we are delighted to support Mosphine’s return to school.

Through our education program, we are working to remove barriers that prevent vulnerable children and young people from accessing education and realizing their potential. We see education not simply as a classroom experience, but as a powerful pathway to economic empowerment, personal development, and lasting social change.

When a young person gains access to education, the impact reaches far beyond the individual. It creates opportunities for families, strengthens communities, and helps break the cycle of poverty from one generation to the next.

Mosphine’s story reminds us that sometimes, what stands between a young person and a brighter future is not a lack of ability or ambition, but a lack of opportunity.

At Ambassadors for Change, we are committed to helping turn those moments of uncertainty into renewed hope.

Be Part of Someone’s Story of Hope

Mosphine’s journey is a reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

But there are many other vulnerable children and young people who still face the risk of having their education interrupted because their families cannot afford the costs.

You can help change that story.

Your generosity, partnership, and support can help us reach more young people, keep them in school, and give them a stronger foundation for a brighter future.

Join Ambassadors for Change in making education accessible and creating opportunities for vulnerable individuals and families to thrive.

Because when hope is renewed, dreams become possible again. Ambassadors for Change Empowering People. Transforming Lives. Building Better Futures.
